There are two options: concrete slabs or ceramic slabs. If we decided to use ceramic tiles, it&#8217;s also important to choose the right grout for outdoor conditions. This will prevent grass and weeds from growing through, and will also make daily path maintenance noticeably easier. If we&#8217;ve already decided what to build the garden path from, it&#8217;s time to determine the entire process. The first step is marking out the contours of each tile, then cutting it to size. Next, dig a trench around eight centimeters deep where the tiles will be placed. It&#8217;s important to fill the prepared trench with a layer of gravel, which will serve as a stabilizer. On the prepared base, place the tiles &#8211; it&#8217;s worth placing them about one centimeter above the ground level. The laid tiles should be compacted using a rubber mallet, accurately and steadily.
